New Year's Eve(January)
Bring in the New Year with traditions from around the world. Find out what people do on this night in several other countries and party like you are in New Zealand, Turkey, The Philippines, Brazil, and Spain to name a few; and of course, party like an American at midnight. This timing of this party is flexible, it can be done earlier than ending at midnight. New Year's resolutions will be discussed, encouraging the girls to read their Bible every day in the coming year. |
Valentine's Day(February)
This will be a SWEET party. Girls should come dressed in as much red, pink and white as possible. They will start as chefs in the kitchen making delicious chocolate or Valentine colored creations. And of course, they will get to eat their masterpieces! .Games will be played with candy hearts and we'll talk about their hearts falling in love with Prince Charming and what qualities their handsome prince should have. |
St. Patrick's Day(March)
This party is all about green. Wear green, eat green foods, and play games that revolve around the color green or Irish things. Why do people say, “The Luck of the Irish?” How did the story of leprechauns start and gold at the end of the rainbow? Girls will also learn the fascinating story behind St. Patrick, the man this holiday is named after. Green will be one of the bead colors used to make a salvation bracelet. |
Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt(April)
There has to be an egg hunt for an Easter party! They are so much fun, why not do two hunts? One will be a hunt after dark with flashlights and the other will be inside with the lights out. A new Easter dress would also be nice, so we’ll make some out of wrapping paper. We'll also talk about the incredible, true account of Jesus rising from the dead. |
Mother's Day(May)
For Mother's Day, girls will become a Mom! They will come "pregnant" to the party wearing a big shirt with a pillow stuffed underneath, play baby shower games, make a flour baby, and talk about being a mom someday. The devotion will center on children being a gift from God and looking ahead to the future when each of them might be a mom. |
Wacky Summer Olympics(June)
It’s the tryouts for the Summer Olympics! No, not the regular Olympics, the Wacky ones. These games are all crazy versions of the real sports. Athletic ability is not needed. After the competitions are finished a wacky meal will be served at the Olympic Village where girls will order from a menu using clues. The devotion centers on the Christian life being compared to running a race. |
4th of July/Vacation Party(July)
.The obvious choice for a party in July is a Fourth of July one; all red, white and blue, ending with fireworks. We have that option. However, with this holiday typically a time spent with family, we have a second option for a simple “Vacation Fun Day” with your girls. Whichever you pick will be fun. The devotion encourages girls to memorize Bible verses with the extra free time they have in the summer. |
Dive in Movie(August)
Celebrate the end of summer. Enjoy a lazy evening with this easy pool party. Girls should love lounging on a floatie in the pool while watching a movie. This party will happen after dark. The devotion focuses on jellyfish which can’t swim but just float with the current. It challenges the girls to not be a jellyfish once school starts by simply going along with the crowd. |
Back to School(September)
It’s time to go Back to School. But don't panic, these are “fun” classes girls will want to attend. They will wish all their school days could be like this one. What will happen in these crazy classes? There will be Science, Spelling, Art, Home Economics, Drama and even Math! They will also have a class on how to study the greatest book of all time, the Bible. |
Pumpkin Palooza(October)
Pumpkin Palooza means it’s all about celebrating the wonderful fall time of year with pumpkins. Girls will take a trip to a Pumpkin Patch to pick out their perfect pumpkin; take some time for pretty photos with all the colorful orange pumpkins, and then let their creativity flow as they carve or paint it. The devotion looks at Satan who tries to trick us. |
Photo Scavenger Hunt(November)
Get ready for a Gobble-y good time. Bring your cell phones fully charged because it's a Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt! Teams will go with a driver in search of items on a list. How many can they find in the allotted time? Teams will rendezvous back to compare pictures and talk about giving praise and thanks to God. |
Christmas(December)
It’s almost Christmas time! Come dressed in Christmas colors and be ready for some Christmas fun and games. The highlight of the party will be to decorate your own gingerbread house masterpiece to take home. What will your "house" look like in heaven? We'll talk about that in our devotion. |
